Position Summary: Are you a visionary leader with a passion for astronomy and a knack for strategic thinking? The seeks a dynamic individual to steer the organization into a future filled with promise. As CEO, you will spearhead operations, leveraging your leadership acumen to drive excellence in administration, program management, financial stewardship, fundraising, marketing, and outreach initiatives. Responsibilities: Provide visionary leadership to navigate the into a dynamic future. Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across all facets of the organization. Act as the primary spokesperson, engaging with stakeholders ranging from members to governmental agencies, educational institutions, donors, and the public. Ensure financial stability through prudent management of resources, strategic fundraising efforts, and the pursuit of new revenue streams. Collaborate with the Board of Directors to refine and implement strategic initiatives that align with the mission and values. Foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization and the broader astronomy community. Champion astronomy education and advocate for increased diversity and participation within the field. Qualifications: A passion for astronomy and a deep understanding of its educational value. Proven leadership experience, ideally in a nonprofit or educational setting. Strong financial management skills, including budget oversight and fundraising prowess. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders. Commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion. Advanced degree in astronomy or related field preferred. Familiarity with fundraising strategies and donor relations within the nonprofit sector. Benefits: Competitive salary range: $180,000 - $210,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
